Today I am going to talk to you about something important, EDUCATION! I know you have already scrolled down in boredom or even clicked back to Google, but to be honest, it is important. I have been researching for example the literacy and illiteracy rates in America and the World. Here are just a few statistics and rates thanks to statisticbrain.com:

*14% of American Adults are illiterate, that 32 million adults.
*21% of the American Adults who can actually read read below a 5th grade level.
*63% of prison inmates cannot read.
*19% of High School students are illiterate.
*774 million people worldwide cannot read, that's 9% of people in the world.

Kind of hard to believe. With seven billion people in the world you would think more people would be able to read and write.
